My Interpretation Of Syndicate

Hey there! Today, I’ve decided to talk about the song “Syndicate”. Since I don’t know what inspired The Fray to write the song, I’ll talk about what’s its meaning to me.
I think the song is about how hard life can be, about how you don’t really know who you are, “what you’re made of”, until you see the darkest side of life. But, the song gives a clear hope message. “Don’t forget, we haven’t lost it all yet”, I think we all should remember that when we’re feeling down. Sometimes it feels like we’ve lost everything, but that’s not true, you still have many reasons to keep going.

So this is what I think of the song. I usually listen to it when I’m feeling down, it always helps :) You can listen to the song below and let me know in the comments what you think!

The story of Look After You

Hey there! How are you all doing? It’s been a long while since I last post a story behind a Fray song, and today I decided to do another one again!
Actually, this song I’m going to talk about is a really known one by people, from their first album: “Look After You”.

The song was written by Isaac Slade and Joe King, and it’s from their album How to Save a Life, from 2005. Isaac Slade says he wrote it to who was his girlfriend in that time, Anna, who later became his wife. Slade also added that he was with his band recording the album, and she was in Australia, and she sent him a video tape with her and some friends saying Merry Christmas. The friends were saying “we’ll look after her for you”, and Isaac said it moved him. That’s what he said in an interview talking about the song. Below I’m posting the interview and a piano version of it:
